“I think the kits are a wonderful idea, and that virtually all traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients would benefit from receiving such kits upon their release from the hospital.  Personally, I think the brain-exercise book would be something that I could really benefit from.  My ongoing cognitive symptoms include impaired memory and concentration issues.  I currently meet with an NRH neuropsychologist on a weekly basis to address these problems.  And on the physical side, I meet with a physical therapist who comes to my home twice a week to work on my balance and gait.  I wish you well in your work and am always anxious to learn about current approaches addressing the needs and challenges of TBI patients.  It must be rewarding to work toward helping those in need.  I wish your team continued success in your certainly-challenging endeavors.”

“Frank really liked the box. We both really like it. I’m actually planning to make the [lemony chicken] healthy recipe this Saturday. We really liked the flip cards… I keep flipping through them and that helps me understand.”

“It was an interesting packet of materials. I guess some of my feedback –the cards if possible, if they can be numbered. I really liked the salt-free spice, the brain games, and coloring book. If the resources could also be personalized by location, that would be great. I really liked the cards that talked about caregiver well-being. They [the cards] were all useful.”

Galva Testimonials

“I used the brain games, the coloring book and opener so far.  The box is a very good idea.  I think different stroke victims will use it differently. We are always looking for new activities and ideas that one can do alone or in a group.”
